Answers to the common questions, how reporting and blocking work, and where to reach us. Most of what you need is below.
Questions, answered
How do goals and the pace line work?
You set a target and a date. The app draws one honest trajectory toward it from where you actually are. If you're ahead, the line reflects that; if you fall behind, the app shows a later realistic date rather than a red or guilt state. It tells you where you stand — it doesn't scold you for standing there.
How do I log workouts and meals?
Log a workout set in the app as you train — the rest timer is built in. For meals, snap or pick a photo, scan a barcode, speak it, or type it; the app estimates the macros for you. Both take a few taps, and your weight trend and daily metrics update from what you log.
What is the weekly checklist?
The checklist is your set of routines for the week. You complete each one by tapping its circle or swiping it, and the app banks what you finished across the week. It resets every Sunday, so each week starts fresh.
How do competitions work?
Competitions are goal-based and head-to-head. You create one, share a code, and the other person joins with it — no account needed before they join. Scoring is tied to the metric you chose and updates as each of you logs, so the scoreboard reflects what actually happened.
Does it work with Apple Health?
Yes. With your permission, the app reads health and fitness data from Apple Health (and Health Connect on Android) and writes the workouts you log back to it. It's never required to get started, and you can revoke access any time in your Health settings — the app keeps working without it.
How is my data handled?
Your data is yours. No ads, no cross-app tracking, and we never sell it. Health data isn't used for marketing or data mining. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I export my data?
Your history is yours to take. Open the app, go to Settings, and export your data. You can also connect your own AI assistant over an open standard and query your history directly.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. If you've already uninstalled, you can request deletion on the web at our delete-account page by signing in with your email. Deletion is permanent and removes your account and all synced data.
Safety & community guidelines
The only place Principled is social is competitions, and they are opt-in. If you never join one, no one sees your data. When you do compete, a few standards keep it fair:
- Competitions are opt-in. You choose to create or join one, and you can leave any time.
- The scoreboard reflects what you actually log. Scoring comes from your real entries — log honestly.
- Be respectful. Display names and any text you enter are visible to the other people in your competition. Keep them civil; no harassment, hate, or abuse.
- No one gets shamed for being behind. The app never punishes a rough week — it records it as information, the same as a strong one.
Reporting & blocking
If someone in a competition is behaving badly, you can handle it in the app directly — this is the fastest way to act and the primary channel for abuse.
- Report a person or their content using the Report button on a competitor card or the competition detail screen. Reports go to our review team.
- Block a competitor using the Block button in the same place. Blocking removes them from your view.
Report and Block are available wherever you see a competitor — on their card and on the competition detail screen.
